TERMS & CONDITIONS - use of this website and its services is taken by us as confirmation of acceptance of the terms & conditions laid down on this and other pages from time to time.
STATUTORY RIGHTS - our terms and conditions do not affect your UK statutory rights.
PURCHASES/RETURNS - orders may be cancelled within seven days of placement, provided the items purchased are returned in their original condition. Return postage & packing are for account of the purchaser. No p&p refunds canl be considered - to help ensure that you place your order correctly before final checkout; clear summaries of your order are presented, to avoid mistakes, and there is no need to rush the process - we like having you around...
PAYMENT - we accept the usual main credit & debit cards. Payments will be converted into your currency by our payment service provider at the exchange rate ruling on the date of the transaction. We normally ship your order within 4 business days of payment, and if for any reason the item ordered is not available within a reasonable period, we will advise you with the option of cancelling that item from your order and refunding you accordingly. If we have to split the order, you will only pay p&p once.
SHIPPING - our normal delivery method in the UK is by first class mail. Elsewhere, by standard airmail. Purchases will normally be despatched within 4 business days after receipt of payment, but please allow 3 weeks for exceptional circumstances. Should the item purchased no longer be available, we will advise you and suggest, at your choice, a replacement or refund.
TAX/VAT - books are currently not subject to tax or VAT in the UK; Elsewhere in the EU, the situation can vary from time to time, and we will take current legislation into account as necessary. If tax/VAT is added, it will be shown during the purchase process.
No tax or VAT is imposed on overseas sales, but if legislation dictates otherwise, we will naturally be obliged to add any necessary taxes. If the occasion does arise, details will be shown during the prchase process.
SECURITY - all financial transactions are conducted in a highly secure (SSL) environment, as with any major website. We do not see or keep your card details; only our payment service provider sees that information, and it is kept strictly private.
DATA - our mail lists, and any other data that we may ask you for, are not shared. Period. We may, occasionally, tell you about some other organisation or product that we (genuinely) feel may be of interest to you, but that advice will come from us. We hate spam, we don't like all the junk we get bogged down with ourselves!
In terms of the Data Protection Act, we advise that data such as addresses may be transmitted and used outside the UK and the EU; web hosting and payment processing may take place outside the UK & the EU. This is not unusual, nor unsafe in nature. What may be unusual is that many web shops don't always point this out as clearly as we do. We would not knowingly let our customers' personal information be misused.
COOKIES - Some of our software, like the shopping cart, may lodge cookies. If we ever have the time to find out if, or what, cookies are lodged & what we could do with them, we will consider ourselves very lucky. In short, we do not use any harmful or unduly intrusive cookies, or anything similar.
BACK ORDERS - we accept pre-orders for forthcoming titles. If you send a pre-order, please always let us have your (clearly readable) name, address & email or phone number, and we will let you know when the title becomes available. If you wish to pay up front, the item will be despatched to you as soon as it is in stock. N.B. Please, don't pay up front for any item expected in more than 3 or 4 months time; Just ask to be advised of its release.
PROBLEMS - in the unlikely event of any problems, please email us at query@zampub.com with full details for us to assess the matter. We always give careful attention to problems and, wherever possible, we take reasonable steps to regularise them. However, our eventual decision is final.
ACCEPTANCE OF ORDERS - we reserve the right to decline any order without giving reasons therefor.
